Where Opportunity Knox, a regional initiative to connect transitioning Veterans and/or military spouses to jobs and the Greater Louisville Region, continues to connect Veteran talent to our region and here is another great example of the quality of individuals available!
Thao Reed is a retired Major from the US Army Corps of Engineers. After she attained a degree in chemical engineering, Thao spent 17 years doing everything from building roads and supply chain management to transforming and training companies and battalions.
After spending many years managing the units in her command, Thao earned her Masters degree in Engineering Technology and was assigned to the Corps of Engineers in Kentucky. She and her family have decided to stay in Louisville as they love the community and her husband is pursuing a degree at the University of Louisville.
Thao discovered Where Opportunity Knox as she was transitioning out of the Army. She hopes to find a position in operations or project management where she will be able to utilize her skills and experience to continuously improve her company or department.
